Life Coaching for Moms & Couples
Takeaway: Have big goals but feel stuck trying to achieve them? I’m here to help. As a life coach in Houston, I help people like you develop clear action plans to live your best life. Whether you’re struggling with relationships, career, health, organization, or something else entirely, coaching can help you get where you want to be.
Meet Sanah Kotadia | Life coach in Houston, TX
Hi! I'm Sanah. I'm both a professional life coach and a licensed professional counselor (LPC). While my therapy services are based out of Houston, TX, my role as a virtual life coach allows me to help people across the entire country.
I'm passionate about helping moms make tangible shifts that can actually improve their quality of life. Whether we're working on breaking habits like people-pleasing and perfectionism or developing skills around organization and time management, I see us as equals in this process.
I especially respect the vulnerability required to ask for guidance. Through both my own healing journey and my work with clients, I've cultivated a deep sense of empathy that helps me hold space for the strengths and struggles of each person I have the privilege of working with.
My approach to life coaching
I believe that life coaching is most effective when it's tailored to each person's unique needs, values, and goals. We'll work collaboratively to identify what's keeping you stuck and make a step-by-step plan to help you get where you want to be.
Since I'm also a licensed therapist, I bring my knowledge of different therapeutic modalities into my work as a life coach. I use approaches like cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), attachment-focused therapy, and interpersonal therapy when applicable in our life coaching sessions.
Regardless of what specific issues we're working on together, I always take a warm, casual approach to my role as a life coach. I believe that showing up as my authentic self in session helps my clients feel more comfortable opening up and broaching sensitive topics.
I also see the professional relationship as one of the most important parts of the life coaching process, so it's important to find a coach you truly connect with. I offer free consultations so you can get a better sense of whether we're the right fit for each other.
Life coaching services I offer
Life coaching for moms
-
Life coaching can help you address nearly any area in your life. Whether you want to learn how to better manage the mental load of motherhood, cope with symptoms of postpartum depression and anxiety, improve your communication skills, or explore how to prioritize self-care, I'm here to support you.
Career coaching or executive coaching
-
As a career coach, I can help people develop leadership skills, set boundaries around their work life, or advocate for themselves in the workplace. Our careers are such a big part of our life—why not get support to make yours as fulfilling as possible?
Here are some signs that you might benefit from working with a career coach:
• Taking on too many projects or responsibilities
• Feeling guilty if you say no to doing something, even if you don’t have capacity
• Putting your own career goals to the side because you don’t want to ask for too much, let your team down by leaving your role, or rock the boat in your family
• Setting unrealistic standards for yourself
• Difficulty asking for help
• Career coaching can teach you how to advocate for yourself using clear, assertive communication. Plus, these skills can help you in other areas of your life as well.
Relationship coaching
-
In my role as a therapist, I specialize in helping people break free from codependency and heal attachment issues. I also bring this expertise into my role as a relationship coach. I can help both individuals improve their love life, cultivate happier friendships, and set boundaries with family members. I also help couples build healthier, stronger relationships with each other.
Common signs that you could benefit from relationship coaching include:
• Having different goals or needs than your partner/spouse
• Intimacy issues
• Infidelity
• Communication issues
• Frequent arguing
• Life transitions
• Feeling stuck
Interfaith relationship coaching
-
While I can help couples with many common relationship issues, I also specialize in providing interfaith relationship coaching. Navigating differing religious and spiritual beliefs can be difficult at times, but it can also be incredibly rewarding to cultivate a deep understanding of and respect for both of your faith needs.
Faith based coaching
-
A person’s faith can be an important beacon of light in their healing journey. No matter your unique spiritual or religious beliefs, I’m here to help you explore the role faith can play in your life and how it can help you navigate difficult times.
Time management & organization coaching
-
As a therapist, I also specialize in supporting adult women with undiagnosed ADHD. This expertise allows me to coach clients who struggle with executive functioning skills such as:
• Time management
• Organization
• Planning
Why choose Balanced Minds for life coaching in Houston, TX
When choosing a life coach, it's important to reflect on what you want and need. Everyone is different, and all life coaches aren't right for everyone. Here are a few reasons to consider Balanced Minds for your life coaching services. If you're still not sure whether I'm the right fit for you, I encourage you to reach out for a free consultation.
I draw on my experience as a licensed professional counselor in my life coaching practice.
Unlike many other Houston life coaches, I'm also a therapist. My education and professional experience give me a unique perspective that's different from many other life coaches. Having a coach with knowledge of therapeutic modalities and the most effective ways to support an individual's personal growth can help you get the most out of your life coaching experience.
I have a wide variety of life experiences to draw on.
I also bring my own life experiences into my work as a life coach when appropriate. I'm a South Asian woman, an oldest daughter, a mother, and part of an interfaith relationship. I also worked in educational settings for over 8 years. While my practice is open to people of all walks of life, some find it helpful when their life coach share similar life experiences.
I offer virtual life coaching sessions so I can meet you where you're at, both literally and figuratively.
Since therapy licensing limits professionals to working with clients in the state where they reside, I can only help Texas residents as a therapist. In my role as a life coach, I'm able to be more flexible. Plus, virtual sessions mean that we can meet wherever and whenever is convenient for you, no matter which state you're located in.
FAQs about working with a Houston life coach
-
A life coach's role can vary. Since there aren't strict regulations about who can become a life coach, each coach's approach may be different.
Generally speaking, though, your coach will help you reach whatever goals have. For example, a business coach can help you work toward career-related goals. Your coach will typically provide you with advice or strategies to help you reach these goals, along with accountability and emotional support.
Therapy is also intended to help a person with a mental health diagnosis, like anxiety or depression. However, you don’t need a diagnosis of any kind to benefit from working with a coach. Coaching is focused on creating a strategy and learning tools to achieve short- and long-term goals.
-
When it comes to deciding between life coaching or therapy, one isn't necessarily better than the other. It all depends on your needs, goals, and preferences.
For example, if you're struggling with serious mental health issues, I recommend working with a therapist. Therapists have training in diagnosing and treating mental health issues that not all life coaches have. Plus, coaching isn't regulated in the same way that therapy is. While some people become a certified life coach through the International Coaching Federation, some people advertise themselves as life coach without any credentials.
At the same time, coaching might be a better fit if you have specific goals that you want to reach and are looking for hands-on support. A life coaching session is generally more action-focused and goal-oriented than a therapy session. Coaches can also offer advice more directly and be more flexible in their treatment methods.

The best life coaches in Houston are the ones who meet your unique needs. If you're looking for a relationship coach, make sure that a potential coach specializes in helping people navigate relationship issues.
Logistics are another important factor to consider. For example, if you have a certain budget in mind for your sessions, make sure to look into life coach cost.
You’ll also want to look into each potential coach’s background and credentials. In my case, I’m a licensed therapist providing coaching services so I can help a wider range of people throughout the country.
Above all, it's important to find a life coach that you connect with. I offer free consultations so you can get to know me and have a better understanding of what working together could be like.
